This four-bedroom penthouse apartment sits on the edge of Porth Beach on Cornwall's north coast, with access onto the sand across a lawn shared with other guests. With rock pools, streams, and caves spread across a broad sweep of golden sand – a natural playground for sandcastle building and exploring – it is well placed for families and groups looking for an active coastal holiday. A narrow wooden footbridge connects the beach to Porth Island, also known as Trevelgue Head, where a dramatic blowhole shoots rainbow sprays of water skyward at mid-tide. The headland draws visitors year-round for its dramatic coastal scenery. From Porth, the coast path runs 0.5 miles south towards Lusty Glaze, a secluded, privately-owned cove, and 3 miles north towards Watergate Bay and its long stretch of sand. Rolling cliffs between Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth add further variety to walks along this stretch of coastline.
