Arrive through the private electric gate and pull up in your private parking spot (there’s room for five cars). Head up to the first floor, and you’ll discover a main living area that’s deliberately TV-free. This gorgeous space is designed for conversation and music, with bespoke furniture sitting below a large skylight and a Sonos speaker system giving your break away the coolest soundtrack. Cook up a storm in the chic kitchen and share an elegant meal at the dining table - and then head out onto a wraparound balcony to enjoy a glass of wine while you take in the sea views. Alternatively, make your way down to the enclosed ground-floor garden to dine alfresco and take a dip in the private hot tub. A stylish roof terrace, accessed via a button-controlled skylight, provides a little stargazing before bedtime. When the day is done, you’ll find a super-king-size master suite with a glamorous freestanding bath overlooking the ocean and a walk-in shower on the first floor. Downstairs you’ll discover three en-suite king-size bedrooms and one twin – all with en-suite shower rooms and doors that open out into the garden. In the morning, kick off your day with a hot outdoor shower in the garden and then take a seat on an outdoor sofa to sip your coffee.
Open the gate and take 20 steps to Widemouth Bay, where you can hire a board, take a surf lesson, or settle into the beach cafe to watch the surfers ride the waves. Or set off along the South West Coast Path to Bude (3 miles) to go stand-up paddleboarding or take a dip in the wonderful open-air tidal pool at Summerleaze Beach. Further afield, head to Boscastle (8 miles) and set off on a hike through the dramatic gorge and out along the clifftops.
