This three-bedroom retreat sits directly on the shoreline at Widemouth Bay, part of a small development of six houses with sea views and contemporary interiors. Well suited to families and groups of friends after an active, surf-focused coastal holiday, it is just 10 metres from the beach across the shared front lawn. Widemouth Bay is a long, unspoilt stretch of sand backed by craggy cliffs on Cornwall's north coast, known for its great surf and a big-sky feel that comes with a wide, open horizon. Lifeguard cover runs through the summer season, making it a great spot for both beginners and more seasoned surfers, while the bay itself has a relaxed character. The coastal town of Bude is 3 miles away. Along the surrounding coastline, a range of activities is available, from coasteering and surf lessons to windsurf and kitesurf tuition, bike hire, canoeing, kayaking, and archery.


A double-height entrance hall opens onto the ground floor of this split-level property, where all three bedrooms are arranged – the reverse layout places the living spaces on the first floor above. The master bedroom features a king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be arranged as a king-size or two singles on request, a built-in wardrobe, and floor-to-ceiling windows with a patio door onto a private terrace overlooking the bay. Its en-suite bathroom includes a freestanding bath, large rainfall shower enclosure, and a WC. The second bedroom has chalet-style bunk beds – a single over a small double – a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower and a WC. The third bedroom also has king-size a zip-and-link bed, built-in wardrobe, and patio doors onto a private sea-view terrace, with a family bathroom alongside featuring shower over the bath and a WC. A staircase leads to the first floor, where a spacious open-plan living area spans the full width of the house, with large windows and a patio door opening onto the balcony, also full width, with views straight out to the Atlantic. A wood burner anchors the living space. The galleried dining area seats six, and the large kitchen beyond also has sea views.


The private terrace overlooks the lawn and sea, furnished with recliners and a firepit, and enclosed by fencing. The full-width balcony on the first floor provides further outdoor space with views across the bay. Beyond the terrace, an extensive lawned area – shared with the other five properties in the development – leads down to the beach, reached by passing through a gateway and descending six steps. Private parking is provided for two cars.
