Offering stylish accommodation for ten guests, this superb glass-fronted and grass-roofed hideaway makes a fabulous base for larger families and groups of friends seeking a holiday retreat in North Cornwall. Featuring four elegantly presented bedrooms and a beautiful veranda, the property enjoys fantastic decor designed by Interior Design Masters winner Banjo Beale. Part of a sophisticated cliffside development overlooking the majestic Watergate Bay, this spacious retreat is just 250 metres from a glorious sandy beach, making a great destination for beach lovers, walkers and water sports enthusiasts.
The entrance to the property is on the first floor, leading into a spacious, light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner sitting beneath an eye-catching barrel-vaulted ceiling with charred timber cladding. Featuring plush seating, a Smart TV, a handsome dining area and a thoughtfully organised kitchen, the living area also offers access via sliding doors onto a gorgeous veranda with ample garden furniture and stunning sea views. Downstairs there are four tastefully furnished super-king-size bedrooms: two with en-suite facilities and two sharing a colourful Jack and Jill bathroom. Two pull-out truckle beds provide additional sleeping space. The interior is rounded out with a utility room and a first-floor WC. Outside, there’s a ground-floor patio, a surf shower and storage space for wetsuits and surfboards. Parking is available for two cars.
A glorious beach is just a 250-metre stroll from the property, with opportunities for surfing, kayaking and paddleboarding as well as sunbathing and sandcastle-making. The magnificent Watergate Bay stretches along for two miles, with the clifftop coastal path leading south to Porth Beach (2 miles) along the outskirts of the lively resort of Newquay, a popular seaside town with a wealth of great pubs and restaurants. Heading north, the coastal path leads to Mawgan Porth and the dramatic cliff formations at Bedruthan Steps, both within 4.5 miles.
