Porth Beach really is a natural playground, with rock pools, streams and caves to explore. Cross the narrow wooden footbridge to Trevelgue Head (1 mile), where the dramatic blowhole sends rainbow sprays into the air at mid tide. The headland provides a striking viewpoint for watching the sunrise. The coast path links several beaches along the Newquay stretch, leading north to Watergate Bay (2 miles), south to a secluded cove and onwards across the rolling cliffs towards Mawgan Porth (4 miles).
