Plan a Cornish coastal escape at this spacious two-house retreat set above Perranuthnoe, a peaceful shoreside village in West Cornwall. It brings together a main house and separate annexe, making it a fantastic choice for large family get-togethers and groups of friends. Sea and countryside views add to the sense of escape, with St Michael’s Mount visible right across the water.
The main house has a generous open-plan living area that flows into a dining space seating 12 and a well-equipped kitchen with a central breakfast bar. Bi-fold doors frame those delightful views, and there’s a wood burner plus bench seating, a Smart TV and a Sonos speaker. Dutch doors lead through to a breakfast table with upholstered bench seating. There’s also a handy separate utility room and WC. The first bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed and an en-suite bathroom. Stairs from here lead to a children’s room, also reached through an external door, with five single beds (please note: head height is limited, so this space is suitable for children only). Head up one floor to find a second super-king-size room with a zip-and-link bed, TV, en-suite shower room and patio doors onto a sea-view balcony. Two further double beds, along with a family shower room, complete this floor. Down on the lower ground floor, the garage space houses a private gym and games room. The second property, the annexe, also has an open-plan living area on the ground floor with a Smart TV, kitchen, dining table, bench seating and bi-fold patio doors. A king-size bedroom with air conditioning and an en-suite shower room also sits on the ground floor, along with a separate family shower room with a wet-room-style shower. Upstairs is a super-king-size bedroom with air conditioning and sea views. A large Atlantic-facing roof terrace is accessible from the main living room, furnished with an eight-person dining table, outdoor sofa, chairs and coffee table. Its garden has a secure paddock for dogs and children to run around safely, a fire pit with built-in seating, a picnic bench, fairy lights and a Sonos speaker, along with a six-person hot tub. During your stay, you’re welcome to use the surfboards, paddleboards and kayaks, with a surf store for wetsuits and boards and a hot outdoor shower. The annexe also has a dedicated outdoor area with its own picnic bench. Parking on the driveway for up to five vehicles.
Perranuthnoe’s sandy main beach is just 300 metres away, while a small beach can be seen below the paddock at low tide (although you’ll need to climb down rocks to reach it). The coast path is accessible directly from the grounds, presenting more opportunities to explore on foot. Head to ancient market town Marazion (2 miles), where a vast sandy beach stretches towards the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, reached by a stone causeway at low tide – or by National Trust boat.
