This scenic spot is just 100 metres from Mawgan Porth Beach, which boasts golden sand backed by the headland, with a river trickling across the shore for children to paddle in. A surf school on the beachfront offers lessons, while seasonal crazy golf and a pitch-and-putt course sit beside a historic Iron Age site above the village. The South West Coast Path passes through Mawgan Porth, with delightful routes leading to Watergate Bay (2 miles) and the dramatic Bedruthan Steps (2 miles). Explore the fishing village of Padstow, 10 miles away, with its historic harbour, excellent seaside restaurants, and ferry to the quaint town of Rock that’s renowned for its beach.
