Set up a board game or enjoy your next delicious meal in the bright dining space, where exposed stonework can be seen in the ornamental fireplace. The adjoining kitchen is well equipped for your self-catering. Make your way up the cottage-style stairs to lay your head in one of the two enticing king-size bedrooms. Wake up in either to look out over the bay and watch the tide coming in and out around St Michael’s Mount. The family bathroom, with a freestanding bath, where you can lounge in steaming bubbles, is also here, together with a family shower room and a separate WC. Due to the age of this characterful cottage, there are some low doorways. Carefully climb the steep steps within the courtyard garden up to the deck to bask in the summer sunshine. Restored outbuildings house laundry facilities and a hot shower. Parking is on the street, subject to availability. Guests can unload and load in front of the cottage.
Walk across Mount’s Bay to the island when the tide is out. Stride out along the South West Coast Path, perhaps attempting the 3.5-mile stretch to Perranuthnoe. Watch a play at the dramatic, outdoor Minack Theatre, 13.5 miles away.
