Constantine Bay is part of Cornwall's Seven Bays - a spectacular chain of beaches connected by wildflower-fringed coastal paths. Wake up and follow the route towards Harlyn Bay via the Trevose Head viewpoint, or head to Treyarnon Bay to take a dip in its cliff-edge tidal sea pool. In the evening, come home to pull up a chair on the first-floor balcony, pop open a bottle of something fizzy, and watch the sun drop into the sea.
Pull up in your private parking spot (there’s room for two cars) and head to the first-floor entrance of your beachy retreat. Step inside and you'll find a gorgeous open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, where the boho-chic decor showcases natural textures, rattan details and surf-themed touches. Rustle up your favourite dishes in the kitchen area and gather everyone around the dining table to eat, or step out onto the balcony to dine alfresco while you soak up the sea views. Afterwards, pour yourself a glass and wine and wait for the stars to come out, or make your way back to the lounge to sink into the sofa and flick on the Smart TV. When the day is done, you’ll find one super-king-size bedroom on the first floor, and two more downstairs (one with an en-suite shower room). All have zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twins on request. A smart family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the layout. In the morning, head out onto the ground-floor patio to enjoy a quiet coffee by the sea before you pick up your board from the shared surf storage space.
Head to Constantine Bay (650 metres) and you’ll find a wide, unspoilt beach that feels a world away from the busier north Cornwall resorts. Follow the South West Coast Path north past the dramatic Trevose Head (2.5 miles) and you’ll soak up some of the finest clifftop views along the way. Or make your way into Padstow (4 miles) to stroll along the harbour or join the brilliant Camel Trail cycling route along the estuary to Wadebridge (5.5 miles from Padstow).
