This spacious period home sits in a prime position just 150 metres from Crooklets Beach in the Cornish seaside town of Bude. The property welcomes up to 12 guests and is perfect for group get-togethers with outdoor adventure-loving family and friends. After a day of coastal activities, head into the town centre (0.5 miles) to dine in one of the independent restaurants, or enjoy a sundowner with sea views on the front terrace.
The three-storey Victorian townhouse offers an elegant backdrop to your holiday, with fabulous original features and a collection of beautiful, antique-style furniture. On the ground floor, you’ll find a tranquil lounge with plush seating set around a Smart TV, a breakfast table, and doors opening onto the rear patio. The separate kitchen/diner is a vast, open space with all the equipment needed to cater for a large group, along with a cocktail bar and a dining table to seat everyone. Patio doors allow you to extend the social space to outdoors in summer months. Three of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, along with the family bathroom and a dressing room. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor, as well as a second bathroom. To the front of the property is a sunny terrace overlooking Crooklets Bay with furniture for al fresco dining, sun loungers, and a firepit. You’ll also have a small, rear garden with a table and chairs and an outdoor bath for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Guests are welcome to use the indoor heated swimming pool which is shared with other guests in the development. Directly in front of the holiday home is Crooklets Downs - a large, grassy area that’s perfect for outdoor games. Private parking is available for three cars.
Head down to Crooklets Beach for a picnic on the sand or a rummage in the rock pools. The beach is a surfing hotspot, and you’ll find many outdoor adventure companies nearby for hiring water sports equipment. For the full seaside experience, why not also hire one of the colourful beach huts that line the promenade? At low tide, you can walk along the shoreline to neighbouring Summerleaze, to take a dip in the famous sea pool.
