Situated in St Merryn, North Cornwall, this light and cheerful property is a good base for a small family plus two hounds, looking for tranquillity and easy access to amenities and beaches.

Light and comfortable, the open-plan living area is a neat, sociable space with a huge L-shaped sofa in the lounge that invites you to sit and relax after a day on the beach. Creamy tones sweep through to the kitchen where you’ll find all the modern appliances you’ll need to rustle up a family meal then serve it at the table with seating for four people. Also on this floor is a children’s bedroom featuring a bunk bed with white and marine blue furnishings. A further bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king-size bed, wardrobe, and countryside views. There’s also a good-sized family bathroom with a large bath for soaking in after a day of activities. Back on the ground floor, the garden is a serene spot with a neat lawn and patio. Here you can bask in the sun, take it easy with a good book or enjoy a drink at the garden table while the children play with Fido on the lawn.

When it comes to swimming in the sea you’ll be spoilt for choice with many beautiful sandy beaches nearby. Choose between beautiful Constantine Bay (2.5 miles), Harlyn Bay, and Trevone Bay (both 1.5 miles). They are all family-friendly and good places to relax or try your hand at surfing. The more energetic can also pick up the South West Coast Path and enjoy the dramatic scenery on a cliff-top walk. Also worth a visit is vibrant Padstow (4 miles). This was a lovely cosy retreat for us and our dog, a very short walk to a couple of local bars, and another pub about a 10-15 minute walk away. Ideally located for exploring the local area with the coastline a couple of minutes away. The Hideaway was equipped with everything we needed and it was handy to know the owners were onsite if we needed anRead moreything. The enclosed garden space for our dog was a bonus. Hide

Great holiday accommodation close to all the local amenities in the village. Plenty big enough for two adults and our dog. Small fully enclosed garden which was handy for the dog. Driveway for parking. Owners on hand if you need anything.
