Enjoy a couple’s break (plus up to one furry friend!) at this quirky wood-clad cabin in the Cornish countryside. Located within the estate of an organic vineyard, a stay at this accommodation means you can take a wine tour by arrangement, explore the vineyard, walk around its lake or eat and drink on-site. So, you don’t have to go far to truly have fun and relax.
This sleek wooden lodge looks rustic from the outside but offers comfortable interiors, with multi-aspect French doors in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner opening up to let the air in for that inside-outside living feel. Cleverly designed, the space works, with the contemporary kitchen offering all mod cons along the back wall. The bedroom is sectioned off at the end. Moving through the glass doors, there’s two steps down to the terrace which covers two sides of this property, with outdoor furniture and lovely views of the countryside and estate under a wide blue Cornish sky. Ideal for a rural retreat, guests have their own private parking for two cars as well.
There are walks around the vineyard and further afield for those keen to explore under their own steam. But, the breathtaking Cornish coast calls around here and so why not discover the Seven Bays of St Merryn, which are all within 6 miles. Padstow is renowned for its food, thanks to Rick Stein’s influence, but makes a pretty stop in its own right with its historic harbour, eateries and boutique shops (4.5 miles). Another famous seaside town is Newquay (13 miles), celebrated for its surfing and sandy swathes. Or immerse yourself in Arthurian legend at atmospheric Tintagel Castle, which is 19 miles north along the coast.
