Enjoy a relaxing break in this stunning Georgian home in the quaint village of Millbrook. Set in a quiet corner of Cornwall, on the Rame Peninsula, it’s the perfect place for couples and families seeking a slower pace of life amongst beautiful coastal surroundings. The property is just 3 miles from the pristine, sandy beach at Whitsand Bay, and you’ll also be close to the idyllic seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand.

The period home is full of character, with gorgeous wooden floors, high ceilings, bold paintwork, and quirky accessories. Inside, unwind in the light-filled lounge, where you’ll find sumptuous seating set around a Smart TV and cosy wood burner. From here, folding doors lead through to the vibrant kitchen/diner, with its statement tiles and little pops of colour. Upstairs, two elegant bedrooms await – a king-size and a double – both with beautiful antique-style furniture and plush linens for a good night’s sleep. Rounding off the accommodation is a chic bathroom with an indulgent, free-standing bath. Outside, there’s a patio with furniture for al fresco dining and beyond this is an enclosed, sloping lawn where children and four-pawed guests can play. Parking is in a nearby public car park.

Millbrook has a handful of local shops, as well as several friendly pubs, and you’ll also be just 8 miles from the vibrant city of Plymouth. Just outside the village is Mount Edgecumbe House (3.5 miles), offering endless walking opportunities through its historic gardens and sweeping coastal estate. On the edge of the estate, in Cremyll, you can board the passenger ferry and head across the Sound to Plymouth, to spend the day wandering around the historic docks and the Barbican, or enjoying a fun, family day at the National Marine Aquarium.

Good central location to explore the forgotten corner of Cornwall. We explored round Cawsand and Kingsand, Edgcumbe Country Park and caught ferry to Plymouth. Parking wasnt an issue, used the public car park (free after 4pm) or parked on road during the day. House is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped to cook a meaRead morel. We werent aware bathroom was downstairs but not an issue for us. Steep steps up into the garden which our dog struggled with when wet. Although it was June, weather was cool but house was cosy. Visited pub (2doors away) for drinks, free house so reasonable prices. Locals are very friendly. Handy to have Coop within a short walk. Nice walks round the lake. Hide
