Discover this characterful property on a farm in rural Cornwall. The pebbledash facade and grey stone interior add to its rustic charm, increasing the feel of peace and seclusion in this glorious part of the South West. Start your retreat with a complimentary cream tea while sitting outside on your own private patio, that features something unusual: a red telephone box. Surrounded by over 200 acres of farmland, you can then wander the trails that lead you through quiet woodland, meadows and past the cows and sheep that graze on the land.

Head down to the games room for a round of pool, table tennis, air hockey or table football and for young ones, there's a swing and see-saw. Dark wood beams stretch across the ceiling of the bright kitchen/diner, and a fireplace in the lounge sets the scene for a cosy evening. Comfy, traditional farmhouse-style furniture and exposed stone throughout gives a nostalgic, homely feel.

A holiday in the South West would not be complete without a trip to the coast. Drive just shy of 10 miles down to the wide sandy Seaton Beach in Looe for snorkelling and rockpooling. This crescent stretch of coast provides views of rural greenery and sloping rockfaces. In fair weather, a small passenger boat makes the trip across to Looe Island. Sail over and take part in a guided tour to spot grey seals and great black-backed gulls. The famous Eden Project is just over 20 miles away too.

This is a lovely farm cottage to stay at if you're looking for some peace located with an area of outstanding beauty. The owners are lovely and hardworking and we're happy to give us tips on where to visit locally. The games barn was fun, particularly the table tennis. We made use of the tennis court too which was an added bonus. There are so Read moremany things to do locally including some trails on the farm itself. A fav beach was Lantic Bay but be prepared for a steep walk down and then back up. The cottage has all the mod cons you need. We put the front patio garden to good use every day and used the BBQ chimnea a couple of times in the evening. We were blessed with sun every day during the heatwave which made dips in the sea a must. I will definitely go back when I can and a final thanks to Stephanie for everything including the Scones and clotted cream upon arrival x Hide

A really comfortable and homely Cornish Cottage on a working farm. Our hosts were lovely and all members of the family stopped to chat and welcome us. It has good access to a dog walk and private wood for exercise.

The cottage was terrific, on arrival it was clean and very tidy, great free view tv's in both bedrooms made it easy for early to bed evenings as it made for early starts which allowed us to see a lot more of the beautiful Cornish coast. Richard and Helen and Kye were fantastic hosts.

I do not recommend. The owners want you to call them before your holiday to discuss arrival time. I called for 3 days and no one answered. I found dog food in the bedroom. The games room was dirty, bird poop everywhere! Everything has been dirty for years! A beautiful walk from the door? Doesn't exist! The owner said if we walked a mile in one direRead morection we would come to a lake. Everywhere 2 meters of grass, you couldn't see anything. We didn't get to the end and were almost trampled by her cows.

RESPONSE FROM HOLIDAY COTTAGES: Thank you for your feedback. We do inspect the property annually and have never found this property to be unclean. The property is surrounded in countryside - as advertised, it is on a working farm. The cattle and sheet are moved around, the owner lives on site and will be able to advise where to avoid. Hide

Great location, the farm is a beautiful environment and the owners and their family are friendly and very helpful. The cosy cottage is well equipped and is a cool haven on hot days! A small point, the corner basin in the en-suite isn't easy to access as it is in a very tight space, but it would be fine for children.

This cottage is lovely on a real working farm with the country smells thrown in! Owners live on the farm so any issues can be dealt with straight away. Kitchen well equipped, bedrooms comfortable, if you have dogs there is no garden but a secure patio area to the front and plenty of walks on your doorstep.
