Providing an ideal base for families to explore the beautiful South Cornish coast, this property overlooking the pretty village of Polruan is a coastal dream. A terraced area with views across to the magnificent church, castle and countryside beyond offers the perfect place to sit back and dine alfresco with some freshly-caught seafood and a glass of wine, the perfect end to a long day exploring this stunning county.

Inside, Jorick is warm and welcoming, with colourful decor in the living room and a light and spacious cream toned kitchen. Gather around the farmhouse-style table to chat about the day and retire to inviting bedrooms for a relaxing night's sleep. It's not often you can sink into a bath with views of magnificent historical buildings but at Jorick you can: just add some bubbles, light some candles and lay back and admire the view.

Head down to the sheltered sandy beach of Readymoney Cove, just 6 miles if you take the ferry across the water. Little ones can find delight in rockpooling when the tide is out, and you can also visit St Catherine's Castle, which you can walk to at under a mile from the cove via the Esplanade. Stay for an early dinner in Fowey before catching the ferry back to Polruan or drive along the coast to Polperro (6 miles) or Looe (12 miles) where you will find a charming selection of restaurants to visit.

We had a fabulous time in this lovely, well equipped cottage. The beds were comfortable, with crisp white linen, plenty of fresh towels, a nice welcome pack and plenty of space for our family of 4 adults. It's in an excellent location in a gorgeous town but make sure your fitness level is good for hills.

Great cottage in a perfect location weve been twice and would stay again. Price point for six is really good and the property is well equipped with plenty of space for the amount of guests to comfortably sit for meals which isnt always the case. Fowey is beautiful too

Clean and comfortable, but the patio is in desperate need of a makeover. Looks grubby and dirty with a sink of dead plants or weeds. It put us off sitting out there which was a shame. Other than that good and we had an enjoyable holiday.

Brilliant location if you want to be in the heart of Fowey. Walk to and from the carpark is not for the fainthearted. Property is a good size, we were a family of 6 adults and we had plenty of room. The property, is tired and could do with a bit of TLC. As with most holiday lets, it could also do with a deepclean. We did however, have a fantastic wRead moreeek in Fowey, and Jorick was a good base for us. Depending on how you sleep, I'd recommend an eyemask as the bedroom windows aren't blackout. Hide

This house was basic but reflected in the price. It is unfortunate it didn't have a tumble dryer and having a baby with us was much missed. It was in a good location.
