A place to experience Cornish country life, Cory Farm Welcombe Cottage is a peaceful escape within 257 acres of pasture land. Wake up to breathtaking views of countryside and coast and make the most of the on-site leisure activities including an indoor play barn for little ones.

One of five properties on the farm, this former detached workshop and log shed retains much of its traditional charms from exposed beams to wooden floors. Light and airy with contemporary touches, it's a welcome cottage to return to after a day of exploring the nearby sandy beaches. Kick back with a mug of hot chocolate in front of the flickering flames of the wood burner, or light the barbeque and enjoy supper al fresco as the sun sets.

North Cornwall is the ideal destination for beach lovers, whether you enjoy scenic cliff-top walks along the South West Coast Path, beach hopping in its sheltered coves or riding the waves in some of the best surfing spots. The closest rockpool beach and most secluded of all, is 1 mile away and can be reached by foot from the farm via a winding tree-lined country road through the spectacular Marsland Valley - a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. You might find yourselves the only people there. For equestrian lovers, there is a local riding school within 1 mile and other local attractions include The Milky Way (12 miles), Tintagel Castle (19 miles), Boscastle (15 miles), and The Eden Project (49 miles) to name a few.

This is a great location for walking and visiting isolated coves on the North Devon/Cornwall coast. The cottage is on a working farm, so you do need to be aware of the farm animals and machinery.

Property was basic with a lot of very battered furniture, and it was dusty and had cobwebs when we arrived. Outdoor play barn was filthy and full of broken toys - I would not let my children use this. The EV charger info was really difficult and the website failed to advertise this properly. We had to send multiple messages to find out what kind ofRead more charger it was, and even then were given the wrong information. Furthermore, there is only one charger for 7 properties. We were lucky and were the only ones using it, but others had parked in front of it, and it would have been impossible if other cars needed to charge. If you advertise the property as having an EV charger, this should be made clear. Hide

Welcome Cottage at Cory Farm made us very welcome. Logs for the wood burner were provided in the log basket. Spacious enough for four adults and a toddler (who loved the play barn). Great location. We spent one day on a long walk down to, and along the SW Coastal path, starting and ending at the cottage. Beautiful beaches nearby (but only when the Read moretide is out - worth checking tide times). Would willingly go back. Hide

The cottage was very clean, warm and well appointed. Everybody at the farm was friendly and welcoming. The farm is perfectly situated for exploring the coast and surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the heart of a working dairy farm. The nearby Bush Inn was excellent.

Generally the cottage is very comfortable, though it seems that it is more set up for families than older people. The courtyard area of the cottage was a bit tired, it just needs a bit of care and attention. A hairdryer and a small paring knife would have been useful but we managed well enough without.

Located with other holiday accommodations. Good parking. The cottage is rather tired internally.Courtyard is nicely situated & private. The bathroom plumbing is very noisy. It is situated within a working farm so some noise & smell to be expected. No hair dryer provided no extra blankets just the duvets. Beds & sofas very comfortable.
