Grab your swimming costumes, wet suits and buckets and spades, and get ready to make special memories in this quiet part of South East Cornwall. This boutique apartment is just right for a couple or small family plus a four-legged friend.

Your stylish beach apartment is a welcoming space in which to relax after a day on the beach or out exploring. Compact and convenient, it has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with comfortable seating around a Smart TV and a dining table with views of the terrace. On the same level there are two pretty bedrooms, a double and a bunk-bed room, as well as a bathroom. The decked terrace that leads off the living space has storage for beach gear as well as outside furniture for al fresco meals – the perfect place for a drink as the sun goes down.

With a shingle and sand beach, a bar, cafe and restaurant all within 500 metres, the apartment is handily located for a fun seaside break. This is a fascinating and relatively undiscovered part of Cornwall, and if you want to get out and about, all kinds of treasures are in store. Try the picturesque town of Looe, 6 miles west, or drive east and around the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall’s ‘forgotten corner’, with the pretty villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, and Rame Head, 10 miles, where there’s a Medieval chapel and gorgeous views of Whitsand Bay (whose beaches are never crowded). Inland, Golitha Falls, 13.5 miles, is a series of small waterfalls in a lovely woodland which is perfect for a walk, rounded off with lunch at Inkie’s Smokehouse BBQ in the car park.

Beautiful location. Lovely cottage, we were able to see a part of Cornwall previously unknown to us. Managed to do some walking despite the heat. Property owner Sarah made us feel very welcome and helped us when we had a mini crisis.

Stone's Throw is a stylish and comfortable holiday home. It is tastefully furnished and had everything that we needed. The location of Downderry is very pleasant with several eating places within easy walking distance. The owner left a nice welcome pack with wine and nibbles. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Comfortable accommodation in a good spot for exploring this part of Cornwall and Plymouth. Some up to date leaflets on what's available in the area would be helpful. Main downside as mentioned by others is that the patio area isn't secure so small children and dogs need to be supervised!SELECTED! !ENDOFSELECTED!as no fencing.

Lovely little house in a great location. Could walk to the local pub which served good food and also a nice restaurant with bar. The owner kindly left us some milk, cake and wine. Sadly there is no shop in the village at the moment. House was very clean. Nice comfy bed. Fab powerful shower!! As we were there in February we didn't use the nice outsiRead morede seating area. Lovely apartment in a peaceful location only a short walk from the beach. A Tapas bar and a pub a short walk away both were very nice. Beach was great for walking our dog and the weather was perfect!!!

Really cosy flat a short walk to the beach. Downderry has a really nice pub (amazing beach views) and a great cafe (Summink Different) with another pub and cafe a short walk down to the beach to Seaton so you're well catered for locally. We also made use of the kitchen which, though small, has all the equipment you need to make meals in.
