Head up to the first floor to the lovely bedrooms. The king-size bedroom, which has a TV, features a spectacular, gable end window overlooking the countryside. Head out to the coast at Hawker's Hut, 2 miles away, which was the refuge of poet Reverend Robert Hawker. Catch sight of Lundy on a clear day as you stride out along the South West Coast Path. Spend time on Summerleaze Beach, in Bude, where you can dip in the sea or tidal pool.
