This family-friendly lodge provides the ultimate Cornish bolthole for you and yours to spend quality time together. Located on the Notter Mill Country Park complex with fun facilities, it’s in Notter Bridge, 3.5 miles from Saltash. Suited to a group of friends or family, it makes a great spot for a multi-generational break with accommodation all on one level. There’s plenty to do on the complex itself with a shared kids’ play area, tennis court and swimming pool (open end of May to early September) and you have your own private hot tub to while away the hours in – relaxing by day or stargazing by night.

This lodge-style cottage has a wonderfully spacious feel and is bright and airy, giving it a relaxing and open vibe. The open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen has a double-height ceiling, with an open fire in a feature roof-height brick chimney in the comfortable lounge area, slightly off to the side and with access to outside. There’s room for all of you at the modern dining table which is next to another external door and also adjoins the contemporary kitchen which has all mod cons. You’re sure to sleep soundly in the wonderfully calm king-size bedroom with light decor and furnishings. The remaining bedroom is a triple with bunks and an extra single. Outside you have a private furnished patio with hot tub sheltered by a wooden gazebo, plus shared lawns.

There’s plenty to keep you occupied here. There’s even a pub within 500 metres for those nights when you don’t want to cook. The River Lynher runs past too, so wander its banks looking out for wildlife. It’s an excellent base for touring Cornwall, both inland and along its rugged coastline. The National Trust has offerings in the area: Antony, an 18th-century house in landscaped gardens (13miles); and the Tudor house and impressive estate of Cotehele (9 miles).

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size and 1 triple room with bunk bed and an additional single bed
  • 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge freezer
  • TV with Freeview in lounge
  • There is a coin-operated launderette available on-site for guest use
  • Travel cot and highchair available

  • Patio area with garden furniture and private hot tub, shared grass area
  • On-site shared facilities include a play area, tennis court
  • Outdoor heated swimming pool available from Spring Bank Holiday at end of May to early September
  • Parking for 1 car on the private driveway outside the lodge, further parking in the shared private car park

Really enjoyed a sunny 3 night break as a family of 6 with an 18 month old toddler and a dog. Was a great site for us all, dog had plenty of space to roam, play park and pool for our grandson and a hot tub for the adults! Good location for visiting Looe and and Polperro. A good pub by the river is a short walk away and there is a supermarket and otRead moreher shops only 5 minute drive. Lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. Hide

This location will be absolutely wonderful in the summer when the rain has stopped, it doesn't have much tolerance for heavy rainfall as it is essentially marshland. The lodge was lovely and clean and the facilities in were great for the most part although hot running water was hit and miss. The owners were friendly and helpful and we would definitRead moreely go back, although in the summer months only. Hide

Great location to explore both Devon and Cornwall. The site was peaceful with lots to do and suited our young family perfectly - the children loved the pool and hot tub, and seeing the butterflies and dragonflies down by the river. We hope to return!

Had a lovely time. Owners were very nice and helpful. Was so nice for my dog just to walk around the site off the lead on his own. 2 other permanent residents have dogs that do the same. My dog loved every minute of it.

The cottage was very clean and the rooms were tidy. There were enough utensils, crockery and cutlery for 5 people and a dishwasher for the end of the day clean up. The jacuzzi was amazing and easy to use - we loved having access to it and enjoyed the privacy screen which allowed us to relax without feeling overlooked. The pool was wonderful and warRead morem enough to swim even on cooler days. All in all we were very happy and would recommend to family and friends. Hide

We stayed here over the weekend and it was for complete RR as we are selling and buying, we just needed to de-stress. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place! So quiet and picturesque, the accommodation was fantastic and had everything we needed. We would definitely return here.

We really enjoyed our stay. Its was different and very calming. The hot tub we had had regular checks. The owners where really friendly and welcoming, also always there if you needed them. It was an amazing relaxing holiday. I would highly recommend going. I think this might be our regular place.

A great base to explore Cornwall and Plymouth. Beautiful location, well presented cottage and hot tub. Perfect for families with both younger and older children with plenty to do and see on site to keep them occupied/entertained! We will definitely be back!

Great hot tub the rest of the property could do with some TLC. Lacking hot running water, reliable heating & general home comfort.

RESPONSE FROM HOLIDAY COTTAGES: Sorry to hear that there were issues with the heating during your stay. These issues are now resolved.
