Would definitely recommend staying here! Lovely location, a big hill to navigate down to the beach, I suffer with my breathing so had to keep stopping, but was worth it! The beach was stunning! And lovely places to get brekkie and drinks on the beach! And plenty of action watching all the surfers! Xx

Where do I start with a review for this property? First of all Id like to say to potential guests... do NOT be fooled by the photographs on this listing. Even though the location is great, the shower is great and the bed is comfortable that's where the praise stops. When we first arrived we were not able to gain access to the property due to some cRead moreonfusion between the owner and the booking agents. The booking agents (holidaycottages.co.uk) were very good and allowed us 10.00 each to go and wait at a local bar and have a drink until they were able to contact the owner, however the owner was not answering her phone despite her number given to us on the booking email. Eventually after 2.5hrs we got into the accomodation and found it to be very unwelcoming. I will outline the main problems here...first of all the freezer compartment had DIRT also what appeared to be dog hairs. We couldnt use it at all, and the owner refused to send anyone out to rectify the situation so we lined the freezer with foil but didnt use it. The freezer needed defrosting as the dirt had frozen. One of the kitchen cupboards is falling apart, the veneer is flaking off big time. Then when we opened the drawers in the bedroom to put away our clothes, they ALL contained traces of human hair, (fortunately only head hair) So we attempted to get the vacuum cleaner and hoover out the hair before we could put the clothes in the drawers which made the whole of the upstairs STINK of dog. We then attempted to open the sash window which unfortunately had broken and would not stay open, so had to go out to fetch air freshner. Certain things that were visible on the website photos were not present when we arrived like the mirror in the bathroom for instance and a lamp on the dressing table. I could go on but I wont, needless to say the whole week was less than enjoyable, the place felt like student accomodation, most things are old and tired and in need of TLC. It could be a really lovely place if the owner spent some money on it. The owner was very unhelpful and even suggested that 'we could always go home!!!' Which didnt go down too well with our party. However the location was great in as much as you could walk into Newquay and to the beach but unfortunately we would never stay here again. Hide

Wow what a week and what a holiday home. A real home from home. It was beautiful, comfy and clean. Well stocked with utensils, cleaning equipment etc. Beds were really comfy and living room cosy with games and info. We had glorious weather so the garden was a welcome addition for drying wetsuits and spending time playing outside. 10 minute walk to Read morethe beach, 15/20 minutes to town, easy once you get your bearings. Fistral is a lovely beach and quieter at Pentire. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back Hide

What a glorious week we had in sunny Newquay! We enjoyed exploring the town, walking the coast and catching the bus back and the April sunshine in the garden. This house is ideally located for surfing on Fistral beach (as first-timers, we can recommend lessons from Quicksilver just 1 minute down the street) and Newquay is ideally located for drivinRead moreg around this part of Cornwall (eg St Ives or Padstow). We recommend Seaspray cafe, just across the road and down the steps overlooking the beach! Hide

Located a short walk from Newquay centre on the edge of Fistral beach, this holiday home was perfectly located for us in a quieter area away from the centre. Beautiful views of the beach from the bedroom window were worth waking up for. Off street parking space provided at the property too. The house itself lacked nothing, sun trap back garden withRead more chairs. Very clean on arrival. Excellent kitchen Comfortable lounge, lovely bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 toilets. Massive bath and shower too. Hide
