Sycamore Barn, was exactly what we were looking for. The welcome gifts and fresh flowers left by Lisa were a lovely touch. Where it was situated was ideal, and generally the places we visited were only half an hour away. The central heating and hot water was instant. the beds and sofa were comfy. It was good to have natural light in the bathroomRead more from the skylight, and the towel rail was a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and I liked the bar stools. Clean bed linen and towels, however we used our own. Lisa was chatty and when I asked if she had a hoover i could use, one was delivered the next day. Hide

Very comfortable accommodation, cosy and well equipped. Particularly comfy bed! Quiet country setting but easily walkable into town. Hosts very kindly supplied afternoon tea, Prosecco, Cornish apple juice, milk and coffee sachets.

We have stayed at Sycamore Barn on several occasions and have always found it perfect for us and our dog. If there is anything we need Lisa and her family are always on hand to help. Upon booking the location was listed as Sycamore Barn, Gwithian, which was incorrect it's in Killivose. We kept the booking despite this due to the possibility of dog sitting but upon enquiry were told the dogs are mostly left in the barn and checked upon, and were never told availability. The smell from the septic tank was very unpleasant every evRead moreening, the frying pan was not fully clean from the last users, the batteries in the TV remote were going flat and the WiFi was intermittent at best. Holidaycottages.co.uk response; Thank you for your review. To clarify, the location of this property is shown on the map at the bottom of the website page. We previously described it as 4.5 miles East of Gwithian, which Killivose is. The owner confirmed that none of the issues you have mentioned were brought up with her during your stay, so she was unable to address them for you, unfortunately. The owner did respond to your enquiry about dog sitting, but heard nothing more from you as to whether you wanted to go ahead with this. Hide

We had a fantastic week on Sycamore Farm. A nice quiet, clean place not too far from the town and the seaside. My daughter couldn't stop playing with the donkeys, the ponies and the horse. Lisa and her family were very kind and helpful. We recommend this place to everyone who would like to spend a quiet, peaceful holiday in Cornwall.

It's lovely property, quiet and peaceful. The owner is lovely. There are horses/donkeys/goats. Few places to walk dogs, all fields had locked gates and/or horses in. There's a wood walk but autumn isn't best time to walk dogs in woods due to illness risk, there's a field at the top of the steep hill. Pub doesn't do food. Chip shop closed for the weRead moreek! The road to the property is single track which we weren't aware of when booking. Very challenging at times! Sadly not for us. Hide
