Set in the heart of Cornwall, this holiday property neighbours a 13th-century church and parish which thrived during the era of William the Conqueror. It’s a mile from lively Launceston ‘the gateway to Cornwall’, and offers an idyllic romantic hideaway for couples who enjoy the outdoors. Take country walks from your doorstep, and plan rugged hikes and lofty cycles over magical Bodmin Moor (9 miles). There’s ample off-road parking on-site, and a welcoming pub shop nearby (0.5 miles).

Step inside this quirky apartment with slanted ceilings throughout and spring hues in bright and airy interiors. Kick off your shoes and hang coats in the hallway by the utility room, before heading upstairs to the main open-plan living area. Make romantic meals for your loved one in the well-equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Cosy up on the squishy sofa and watch films together on the smart TV. Slumber is easy in the cosy double bedroom; wake up to the sound of birdsong and views of an ancient church spire. Refresh in the stylish bathroom, and step outside to the spacious private garden with a decked patio, lawn, and BBQ area for al fresco afternoons.

Enjoy a round of golf at Launceston Golf Club (0.5 miles). Trace a thousand years of history at Launceston Castle (1 mile) - climb the internal staircase to reach the battlements and marvel at the views. Meander along the fringe of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (6 miles), and make a wish at 16th-century Dupath Well (12.5 miles). Relax at surf-loving Widemouth Bay (16-miles) where Blackrock Beach offers a dog-friendly welcome all year. Or take a Dartmoor hike with your best friend and explore Lydford Gorge (14 miles).

This is a peaceful place with beautiful surroundings. Ideal for a couple like us. Was well equipped and great communication with the owners who were also away at the time. The cottage was a perfect base for our first holiday with our baby. It was perfectly equipped to make it stress free and the hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and were really friendly, including their lovely dog. We had such a lovely, peaceful stay at Church View. Jill was so welcoming and we had everything we needed at the cottage. My dog and I loved our stay at Church View. It was peaceful, comfortable and immaculate. The central location meant it was easy to get to both north and south coasts or to venture further west.

Had a wonderful week. The accommodation was excellent and the setting was superb. The town was close by with plenty to see and do. There are walks close by or a short drive away. The hosts are both friendly and helpful and were there to give us a warm welcome as was Sam the dog. Would definitely go back again if staying in the area.

Very clean comfortable and peaceful. We was very lucky with the weather and could sit outside after a full day visiting different places around Cornwall and Devon. The Owners are very friendly and Sam the dog,but they leave you alone to enjoy your holiday, but we really enjoyed our conversations we had with them.

We had a lovely time at Church View. Our host were really nice and their dog Sam always greeted us excitedly friendly. Although the cottage is next to the main house, it was very private and quiet, except for the sheep's bleaking from time to time on the field next to the house. We would return any time!
