Set in the heart of the Cornish countryside just a stone’s throw from the sandy shoreline and narrow harbours of Cornwall’s iconic coastline, find pure peace and tranquillity at the romantic bolthole tucked away within the owner’s grounds, surrounded by scenic countryside and cliff-top walks to explore with four-legged friends in tow.

Follow the warmth of the roaring wood burner into the homely lounge/diner to soothe wearing walking muscles on the comfy sofas as you catch up on your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Grab the fabulous local produce you’ve collected and head into the spacious kitchen to rustle up a delicious feast to be enjoyed at the breakfast bar or around the rustic wooden dining table in the lounge/diner. When you can’t resist the call of bedtime any longer, retire to the lovingly furnished, light-filled en-suite bedroom for a well-deserved rest before tomorrow’s adventure. Dine alfresco on the decking in the rear enclosed walled garden or admire views of your four-legged friends roaming free in the shared lawn garden and mature landscaped gardens from the seating at the front of the cottage.

Nestled in a peaceful valley, the seaside town of Portreath 3 miles away is steeped in history and natural beauty, grown around a narrow harbour that was once a busy fishing port. A mecca for water sports offering some of the most magnificent crystal waters, head to Portreath Beach just over 3 miles away to surf the locally known Vortex swell or simply enjoy paddling the waters to be rewarded with the best views of the valley. Keen cyclists can join up with one of the many cycling paths running along the decommissioned tram roads or hop on the Coast to Coast Trail for magnificent views of the engine houses synonymous with Cornwall’s rich mining history.

Beautifully appointed accommodation, fresh decor and modern equipment (kitchen, bathroom, TV). Private enclosed back garden, genuinely dog safe / proof. The hosts were really helpful and attentive, offering a thicker quilt when the temperature dropped and other help. Very quiet and secluded, perfect for a one woman, one dog get away !
