With wooden beamed ceilings, a wood burner and elegant contemporary decor in the open-plan living space, it’s the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. Spend your time away in central Cornwall discovering the scenic coastal trails, expansive beaches and nearby charming towns and villages.

Cross the first-floor terrace to reach the front door and step inside to find an airy, neutral-toned open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Natural light streams through the French doors into this elegant space with a vaulted, beamed ceiling. The contemporary, grey sofa sits opposite a Smart TV and nature views. A Scandi-style wooden dining set for two sits beside the warming wood burner. At the back of the room is a sleek white, blue and wooden fitted galley kitchen with a peninsula. Completing the interior is a shower room and a cosy king-size bedroom with a country-chic feel from the painted wooden furnishings and beamed ceiling. Outside is a patio terrace with bistro-style furniture.

While staying in one of the three holiday homes on a small holding on the outskirts of Summercourt village, you’ll be just 7 miles from the lively surf town of Newquay. Here you can dine out at a seafood restaurant and browse the quaint artisan shops. Pack a picnic and head south for a wander along the South West Coast Path through The Roseland Heritage Coast (9.5 miles). Stop for a dip at the secluded Towan Beach (8.5 miles) or Pendower Beach (16.5 miles). Also within reach are the Eden Project (17.5 miles) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (13 miles).

The cottage was very homely and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made the holiday a unforgettable time
