Escape to Cornwall’s rugged north coast in this elegant holiday retreat in Tintagel. The coastal, pet-friendly bolthole sleeps six guests and is close to some of Cornwall’s most idyllic beaches, including the secluded Bossiney Cove (1.5 miles). You’ll be perfectly placed to join the stunning South West Coast Path, and nearby attractions include Camel Creek Family Adventure Park (19 miles) and the Eden Project (26 miles).
The stylish bungalow is decorated in calming, neutral tones and boasts panoramic coastal views through its large picture windows. Leave sandy shoes in the hallway, which doubles up as a games room thanks to a table football, and head through to the spacious living area. Here, you’ll find a kitchen space with everything needed to whip up a tasty feast for the group, and sumptuous sofas set around a Smart TV. From here, step down into the bright, conservatory-style dining room where you can share family mealtimes together whilst enjoying the spectacular sea views. All three bedrooms have patio doors leading to the garden, and the king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room. A refreshing family bathroom rounds off the accommodation. Outside, soak in the scenery in the enclosed garden, which features a large lawn for outdoor games, a spacious decking area, and a raised hot tub for reviving weary limbs after a long walk. Private parking is provided for two cars.
A stay in Tintagel isn’t complete without a visit to the atmospheric ruins of Tintagel Castle, where you can cross the spectacular footbridge with its jaw-dropping views and learn all about the castle’s fascinating links to King Arthur. At low tide, head down to the small, sandy beach to explore the magical Merlin’s Cave. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the picture-postcard village of Port Isaac (9.5 miles) and the vibrant fishing port of Padstow (22 miles), the foodie capital of Cornwall.
