With a stay at this beautiful one-bedroom property, you are surrounded by some of the most stunning Cornish scenery, with an abundance of walks along the coastal footpaths available almost from your door. Pack the dog lead, for your furry friend is welcome too, and spend your days exploring the secluded beaches, hidden coves and acres of woodland before returning to the welcoming comfort of this simple yet well-furnished cosy home for two. Make a delicious meal and dine alfresco as the sun sets on a day of fun.

The warm reds and cool greys of the exterior stonework are reflected beautifully in the neutral creams, sands and pale oranges of the interiors of this lovely cottage, creating a calming and welcoming ambience. Bright, airy and attractively decorated, settle in to the open-plan lounge area to relax after a busy day, which becomes a cosy haven once the wood burner is lit - just make sure your doggy doesn't hog all the heat. On warm summer evenings, enjoy the stunning surroundings with a glass of wine on the patio or take out your morning coffee and wake up with the wildlife.

Run, fetch and chase the waves at Chevron Fold (5 miles) and Boscastle (10.5 miles), or try the Bude Sea pool (8 miles). The seaside town of Bude (8 miles) is ideal for surfing, shopping and perusing local eateries. Explore the local history at Lawrence house (13.5 miles), a beautiful, Georgian town house. For parkland walks try Dunsland (14 miles) and for remote moorland, head to Bodmin Moor and climb Bray Down (28 miles). The picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac (21 miles) is also a fantastic day trip.

The cottage was exactly as described, really homely and it had everything you need. When we arrived there was fresh apple juice, flowers and homemade dog treats for our little dog. The hosts Deborah and Steven were on hand if you need anything, very friendly and we had some great conversations with them. The fields to exercise your dog are great Read moretoo also lots of wildlife to see. Great location very quiet (roads are quite tight) so whoever is driving make sure you are good at reversing. If you are a dog owner the best beach is Sandymouth as dogs can use it all year round (lots of pebbles) but once on the beach its amazing. Location wise its easy to travel to many places in the area and further away using the A39. Great place, fabulous holiday would definitely recommend. Hide
