Gather with your loved ones at this pretty cottage set in rural Cornwall. Close to the bustling port of Fowey, but far enough off the beaten track for guests to savour green open spaces and the feeling of being away from the daily grind. Replace your usual routine with evenings together in the open-plan living space, laughing and catching up while the three-sided wood burner crackles in the background.

Spacious and stylish, the large garden and living space of Heritage Cottage is designed for families and groups to lounge around and enjoy each other's company. The impressive space is complete with real oak floors and a vaulted ceiling making it a charming place to relax after a day of exploring. Cook hearty meals on the oil-fired range cooker, and dine together around the table before retreating to the sofas and flicking on a film for the evening.

Fowey is an 11-mile drive from this property and has an excellent choice of places to eat whether you're looking for fresh seafood or a fine dining experience; bakeries, cafes, pubs and tea rooms aren't in short supply either. If you're looking for a thrill, you can try your hand at paddle boarding, kayaking or sailing. Sandy beaches such as Readymoney Cove are within easy reach, or walkers can join the South West Coastal Path for panoramic views of the ocean. From Fowey, you can also catch the ferry over to the ancient fishing village of Polruan and learn about its fascinating history.

The cottage was perfect! Great standard, clean and well presented. The milk and scones were very welcome after a long journey! The host was very friendly. It was lovely to sit outside in the morning and enjoy the views and birds, likewise at the end of day. Would definitely like to stay again.

A cracking property which suited us, a family of six adults, ideally. It was spotless throughout and very well equipped. Martin and Lynne were very welcoming and the cream teas which were waiting for us on arrival, the fresh flowers and milk were more than acceptable. The bag of ice in the freezer was a nice touch and lasted us for the week.
