This quaint cottage is in the pretty Cornish village of Goldsithney, just 1.5 miles from Marazion. The characterful, pet-friendly retreat welcomes four guests and suits both couples and small families looking to explore the beautiful coastline around Mounts Bay. From the property, enjoy day trips to St Michael’s Mount, the quirky market town of Penzance, or the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole (all within 10 miles).
The period property beautifully blends original rustic features with contemporary elements and tasteful seaside accessories. Inside, leave sandy shoes in the hallway, before heading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, with pastel-coloured units, a beamed ceiling, and a plump sofa to sink into with a glass of wine. Spend time here, cooking up hearty feasts and enjoying family dinnertimes around the wooden table. After dinner, fire up the wood burner in the lounge and settle down for a movie night in front of the Smart TV. Alternatively, head to the conservatory (via a couple of steps), to relax with a book and enjoy the views of the garden. Upstairs, you’ll find two coastal-themed bedrooms and the family bathroom. Outside, there’s a patio area with furniture for al fresco dining, and steps leading to an enclosed lawn where children can play. The cottage has on-street parking, subject to availability.
Marazion is a charming coastal town, with a great range of independent eateries, along with gift shops and galleries to potter around. The town has a beautiful, sandy beach, where you can walk the causeway to St Michael’s Mount or, if the tide is too high, catch one of the passenger ferries. Other popular beaches along this scenic stretch of coastline include Perranuthnoe (1.5 miles) and Praa Sands (3.5 miles). For keen walkers, the long-distance South West Coast Path passes nearby, offering jaw-dropping views and spectacular wildlife watching opportunities.
