Relax and unwind at this grand Victorian terrace house perched high above the golden sands of Polzeath, with sweeping panoramic views over the beach and the Atlantic beyond. Sleeping seven people across four bedrooms, it's ideal for families or groups of friends who are searching for a classic coastal retreat with one of Cornwall's finest surf beaches, the South West Coast Path and the dramatic headlands of Pentire right on its doorstep. Head out along the beach and pick up a board for a surf lesson - Polzeath offers one of the best beginner breaks in the South West. Or head into Rock and catch the foot ferry across the Camel Estuary to check out the foodie scene in Padstow. In the evening, come home to your garden, pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp, and watch the sun head towards the horizon.
Pull into your reserved parking space (there’s room for two cars, 200 metres away) and head along this resplendent Victorian terrace to your holiday home. Step inside and you'll find a beautifully-styled interior with two separate lounge spaces, which is a great feature for multigenerational groups who like to give the kids their own space. Relax in the main sitting room, which has a beautiful bay window framing beautiful beach views, or retire to the second lounge which has extra seating, a piano and a small dining table. Whip up some dinner in the country-style kitchen and share a sociable meal together in the second lounge, or head out through the garden gate and onto the beach (100 metres) for a picnic on the sand. Afterwards, sink into a sofa in one of the lounge spaces for an evening in front of the TV, or head out into the quaint courtyard to crack open a bottle of something fizzy. When the day is done, you’ll find four stylish bedrooms to choose from upstairs - a king-size bedroom, two twins and a single. A smart family bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower completes the layout.
Grab a surfboard and head through the garden gate and onto the beach (under 100 metres) to take on the Atlantic swell - Polzeath is a superb beginner and intermediate break that boasts reliable waves throughout the season. Or head along the South West Coast Path from the beach towards Pentire Point (2.5 miles) for a four-mile circular walk to the ancient Iron Age fort at The Rumps. While you’re there, keep your eyes peeled for puffins and kittiwakes.
