Overlooking the coast from a prime position in the heart of Polzeath, this contemporary three-storey beach house makes a memorable setting for family get-togethers and group stays. Built into the slope, the house has a reverse-level arrangement designed to make the most of its sea views.
With the entrance on the second floor, inside you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the open-plan living area with light and frame impressive views across the water, while doors lead onto a large balcony. The sleek kitchen is equipped for self-catering, including a wine fridge and breakfast bar, while a dining table and generous corner sofa sit beside the windows. A separate TV room gives you somewhere to settle down with a film and also doubles as a fourth bedroom, with a king-size sofa bed. A family bathroom completes this floor. Two bedrooms occupy the middle level: a king-size master and a twin room, each with an en-suite shower room and a private sea-facing balcony. The ground floor has a self-contained suite with a super-king-size bed that can be arranged as twins, kitchenette, dining area and shower room, making it particularly useful for guests seeking greater independence. The rear entrance leads directly to the patio. Each sea-facing balcony has outdoor furniture, and the upper balcony also has loungers and dining furniture. At ground level, a sheltered patio has a BBQ, while an astro-turf lawn and board rack cater to beach-going guests. Off-road parking for up to four cars is available by both the front and rear entrances.
The village’s shops, restaurants and broad sandy beach are all close by, so you can spend the day surfing in the bay or walking across Pentire Headland to take in the coastal scenery. Rock is less than 3 miles away, with upmarket shops and eateries, water sports and wildlife cruises, as well as the ferry across the Camel Estuary to Padstow. For a day trip further afield, the mythical surroundings of Tintagel Castle are 13 miles from home.
