Watch the glorious changing colours of the light over the sea as the sun goes down over this gorgeous Polzeath retreat. Sleeping eight guests, the luxurious, four-bedroom hideaway sits in an incredible position, overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean and pulling in captivating views. It comes with four balconies and an impressive indoor hammock, plus an outdoor kitchen for self-catering in the fresh air.
Wander inside the cutting-edge, contemporary, four-storey retreat, with its abundance of glass, to find a useful utility room and one of your super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities and can be made up as twins on request, at ground-floor level. The remaining three bedrooms are on the first floor, together with an additional separate WC. The splendid, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner encompasses the second floor. Here you can unwind, socialise and prepare delicious meals in the chic, high-specification kitchen. Light the wood burner on cold days, pull open the doors to the balcony in the summer, watch the Smart TV and dine together in style. Head up to the floor above to find another impressive lounge and a cocktail bar where you can mix yourself a mojito, then take in the views from the glass walkway or the hammock. Savour the sea air from any of the balconies. Grill fresh Cornish produce in the outdoor kitchen on the highest one. There is storage for surfboards, shared access to showers and parking for two cars here.
Stroll less than 20 metres to the sandy beach. Venture 2.5 miles into Rock to take the ferry over to Padstow for a seafood lunch in the summer months. Head 7.5 miles into Wadebridge to hire bikes and pedal along the Camel Trail. Visit picture-postcard Port Isaac, 7 miles away, famously the backdrop to the TV series Doc Martin.
