Enjoy a stay at this contemporary, stone-built bungalow located on the famed St Mellion Estate. Make the most of fabulous on-site facilities, explore the nearby coast and countryside and relax with loved ones in this stylish home — the perfect Cornish retreat for a couple or family.

Sociable open-plan living is what this house is all about, be it relaxing in the comfortable lounge area, cooking in the stylish kitchen or planning the next day's activities gathered around the dining table. Outside, the private patio with garden furniture is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or an evening sundowner, and when it comes time for bed, two delightful bedrooms await, both with a super-king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle.

You may ask yourself why you ever need to leave the 450-acre estate with a steam room, sauna, spa pool, gym, resistance room and three swimming pools, as well as a number of eateries, tennis courts and two championship golf courses on-site. However, those who do will be rewarded by the beautiful scenery of the Tamer Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that borders the estate, which boasts lovely riverside rambles and pretty woodland to explore. The vibrant port city of Plymouth is 12 miles away, with fantastic attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican and Plymouth Hoe waterfront. Take a day trip to the seaside and visit one of the many quaint towns and villages that line the shore. Ever-popular Looe is 15.5 miles away, where summer months see beach-goers descend onto its sandy beach, and winter brings those looking for cosy cafes and pubs serving fresh local produce. The town is also famed for its fancy dress New Year celebration, attracting revellers from far and wide.

The lodge was a lovely place to stay. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We had everything we needed for our week. We loved the swimming pool and the tennis court. St Mellion is a lovely quiet setting with lovely facilities and friendly helpful staff. A very nice place to stay.

Primarily a golfing resort but not essential to use either course or the hotel, Use of bar, restaurant and spa but we couldnt take advantage of these as we had a dog with us and although permitted we didn't like to leave her in the cottage. The accommodation was excellent and modern inside. Beds large and very comfortable. The bathrooms well equippRead moreed with luxurious towels and especially good showers! Each cottage had outdoor table and chairs and were well positioned for privacy. Hide
