With coastal views, this spacious escape is ideal for a fun-filled Cornish holiday. It’s in Polzeath, a small seaside village known for its surf scene and fabulous beach, which is less than half a mile away. From sandcastle building to rock pooling and bodyboarding, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. This dog-friendly, five-bedroom home has space for up to ten guests, making it well suited to trips with family or groups of friends with children.
The ground floor houses two king-size bedrooms, both with sliding doors opening straight onto the patio. There’s also a handy utility room where you can hang wetsuits. From here, head up to the first floor to find a glorious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that’s great for socialising, with its stunning coastal views and natural light pouring in. Doors lead out to a generous sea-facing balcony where you can relax with drinks and food. Warm wooden tones, colourful patterns and a roaring wood burner all add an inviting touch, while a snug provides a peaceful hideaway for children. The top floor features two more king-size bedrooms – one of which has access to the second balcony – plus an en-suite super-king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and shared balcony access. An elegant shower room completes the layout. Outside, the enclosed west-facing garden is a lovely spot for al fresco dining on the covered patio terrace. The patio wraps around to the side of the house where you’ll find an outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy toes. There’s also a third balcony off the kitchen. With private parking for up to five cars, arrivals and departures are a breeze.
Join the South West Coast Path right from the doorstep and wander up to Pentire Headland (1.5 miles), where you may spot seals and dolphins. Nearby beaches include Greenaway and Daymer Bay (both within 1.5 miles).
