Live the coastal dream at this characterful stone cottage just a mile outside the picturesque seaside town of St Ives. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, this is an ideal holiday hideaway for small families or groups of friends who are dreaming of exploring the outstanding beauty of the Cornish coast together. Spend happy days strolling along the glorious stretch of golden sand at Carbis Bay, and, in the evening, come home to your cottage’s pretty garden to unwind with your loved ones. Enjoy a glass of wine or two while the stars come out.
Park in your private spot and step inside this traditional granite terraced cottage. Make your way to the lounge to admire the boho-chic styling, exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and wood burner set in an eye-catching feature fireplace. Head to the farmhouse-style kitchen to whip up some dinner to share at the dining table. Alternatively, step out onto the patio to enjoy a relaxing al fresco dinner. Afterwards, take a seat on the lawn to stargaze (please note children must be supervised in the garden due to the drop from the lawn to the patio), or head back to the lounge to indulge in a glass of wine beside the crackling wood burner. At the end of the day, you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms on the first floor: a generous king-size room with garden views, and a charming twin room. A modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the layout.
Stroll along Porthminster Beach (1.5 miles) and soak up the beautiful views across St Ives Bay. Further afield, set off to explore Godrevy Lighthouse (10.5 miles), a striking 19th-century structure set on a rocky island. The National Trust coastline surrounding the lighthouse is abundant with wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for grey seals.
