This thoughtfully updated cottage sleeps six guests and sits on the edge of Lower Boscaswell, half a mile from the village of Pendeen and around a mile from Cornwall’s northern coast. After a day exploring the Cornish coast, return home to dine alfresco in the private garden, or curl up next to the cracking wood burner in the cosy lounge.
A porch and utility area welcomes you on arrival, with a washing machine, seat, small chest freezer and useful storage for coats and walking boots. The bright kitchen/diner has a sociable central table and plenty of equipment for preparing meals together. A small step leads down into the comfortable lounge, where a corner sofa and additional seating surround the Smart TV and wood burner. Upstairs, three bedrooms look out over the surrounding countryside: a fun-filled bunk room, a double bedroom, and a king-size room with its own en-suite shower. A separate shower room serves the other bedrooms. Original exposed beams and whitewashed stone walls add character throughout the first floor. Outside, the enclosed garden combines a lawn and gravelled area with outdoor seating and a dedicated BBQ area. It’s a handy spot for breakfast in the fresh air or an evening meal when the weather allows. Allocated parking for one car is available around 20 metres from the cottage.
With the South West Coast Path easily accessible from almost outside the door, walkers can follow routes past Botallack Mine, The Avarack Pools and Boscaswell Cliffs, continuing towards Pendeen Lighthouse and Portheras Cove, all within 2.5 miles. Geevor Tin Mine Museum is 0.5 miles away, while Morvah Quoit, Boswens Menhir and Tregeseal Barrow are within 3 miles. Penzance, St Ives, Marazion and Land's End can all be reached within 13 miles. There's also a regular bus service from Pendeen to St Ives and Penzance, with stops along the route, so you can explore the coast without taking the car.
