Perched high on the third floor, this stylish two-bedroom apartment enjoys breathtaking views across the River Fowey from its private balcony – a perfect retreat for couples or small families looking to unwind by the water.

Inside, a lift or short flight of stairs leads you up to this welcoming riverside haven. Step into the hallway and discover two light and airy double bedrooms along with a gleaming family bathroom for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The open-plan living space is bright, breezy and designed for relaxation, with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the room with light and framing glorious river views. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need for easy self-catering, while the comfortable lounge area invites you to sit back with a book or glass of wine as boats drift by. Four-legged guests are warmly welcomed, too – with thoughtful extras like a dog bed, bowls, towels, and cosy throws ready for use. Slide open the doors to the private balcony terrace and sip your morning coffee or evening sundowner as you take in the ever-changing river scene. Although there’s no private parking, convenient public parking is available opposite the building.

Half a mile from the heart of Fowey, you can meander through its charming streets lined with independent boutiques, art galleries and tempting eateries. A leisurely 1-mile stroll brings you to Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach watched over by the ruins of a 15th-century fort – an idyllic spot for a swim or picnic with a view. For a change of scenery, hop on the Bodinnick car ferry (150 metres) and explore the neighbouring coastal towns, including Looe (12 miles), or take the Polruan passenger ferry (0.5 miles) to discover the village’s rich boat-building heritage. If walking is more your thing, join the South West Coast Path for breathtaking cliffside vistas and a picnic at picturesque Lantic Bay (2.5 miles). Days out at The Eden Project or Charlestown’s historic harbour (both 7 miles) promise even more Cornish adventure.

Superb location on the edge of town, perfect for a walk in for a stroll around the harbour, drink or evening meal. The accommodation has everything we needed for a week. It's comfortable, bright, clean & spacious. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of workspace. The balcony is a lovely, quiet haven with a verdant, green backdrop. The Hideaway at Blue Mill was the most perfect base for us to explore beautiful Fowey with all its interesting shops, pubs , restaurants and wonderful scenic walks. There is a large public carpark right opposite Blue Mill with the option to pay 17.40 for a week , this works out at a very reasonable rate compared to paying daily. The apartment itRead moreself was spacious, bright, clean, tidy & very comfortable. Our every need was catered for and we really appreciated the welcome card and goodies. There is lots of helpful literature about things to do in the area, we love our walking and 2 favourite walks for us were The Hall Walk (well worth researching ) and Polruan to Lantic Bay. We will come back for sure Hide
