Property code: OC-G33050

Perched above the harbour with sweeping views of the estuary, this homely coastal hideaway makes the perfect base for family get-togethers or holidays with friends in the ever-popular South Cornwall resort of Fowey.

Inside, this holiday cottage is light-filled and welcoming, with a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner designed for socialising. Sink into the sofas by the bay window, watch a film on the Smart TV, or gather around the wood burner after a day by the sea. The kitchen is fully equipped for holiday feasts, and the dining table invites long, leisurely meals together. Upstairs, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms. On the first floor, there’s a stylish king-size and a cheerful bunk room, along with a family bathroom featuring a rainfall shower over the bath. Upstairs, the top-floor king-size bedroom feels like a private retreat, with its vaulted whitewashed ceiling, exposed stonework, free-standing bath, and far-reaching views views of Fowey’s historic St Fimbarrus Church, Place House and across the rooftops to the estuary (please note: the staircase to this floor is without a bannister). Outside, enjoy morning coffee on the front terrace with its harbour glimpses, or head to the rear courtyard for a drink at the bistro table. Public parking is available 300 metres away.

Brimming with charm and history, Fowey is famous for its bustling harbour, water sports, and tempting array of pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Spend lazy afternoons at Readymoney Cove, explore St Catherine’s Castle, or hop on the ferry across the estuary to Polruan. Further afield, green-fingered guests will love the Lost Gardens of Heligan (14.5 miles) and the Eden Project (6.5 miles). Alternatively, discover the historic harbour of Charlestown, 8 miles from home.

Such a lovely place in a great location for exploring Fowey. Really well equipped and clear instructions, plus extra information about the area and helpful communication. The top room is really lovely with great views and a gorgeous bath, however there's no separate door to the room (which is just up a flight of stairs) or the toilet in the roomRead more, so it didn't feel very private.
