Set within the beautiful Tresillian Estate, across a courtyard from the main house, the cottage’s reverse-level layout makes the most of lovely views. The first-floor living space features a vaulted ceiling, painted-stone walls, and characterful wooden floors, with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, a large dining table for celebratory meals, and a well-equipped kitchen. There are six inviting bedrooms, each with handsome beds, five of which have an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Three are on the first floor – two doubles and a twin, the latter accessed through one of the double rooms (an ideal set-up for families) – while the remaining bedrooms (a twin, a king-size and a super-king-size) are on the ground floor. For fun in the fresh air, there’s a private garden with a lawn and a sheltered deck, where you can grill tasty meals on the BBQ and dine alfresco in the sun. There’s also a shared tennis court within the extensive grounds. Ample parking is available.

Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with Crantock, Holywell, Polly Joke and Porth all nearby, while Newquay, just 4 miles away, offers sand, surfing, shops and sea-view bars and restaurants. Food enthusiasts will enjoy Padstow’s renowned eateries, only 15 miles away, while Truro, 10 miles, is the place for boutique shopping and live theatre. The National Trust’s Trerice is just 1 mile away, and the Eden Project – a must-see – is 19 miles away.

The cottage was beautiful and had fantastic facilities for a large group. It was a lovely touch to have fresh scones & cream along with flowers on arrival.
