This charming cottage is nestled in the hillside village of Polruan on Cornwall’s rugged south coast. The bolthole welcomes four guests and is perfect for couples and small families looking to embrace a slower pace of life. The area is a paradise for walkers, with the South West Coast Path passing close to the cottage. Enjoy slow days relaxing in the summerhouse.

The terraced cottage thoughtfully blends original features, such as beamed ceilings, with contemporary furniture and a wonderful collection of stylish accessories and artwork. Enter the cottage directly into the cosy lounge, where a plush, velvet sofa and comfortable armchairs are arranged around a Smart TV. From here, move through to the country-style kitchen, which has everything needed to whip up hearty breakfasts and delicious holiday dinners. There’s also a breakfast bar for perching with a morning coffee as you plan the day’s activities. Upstairs, two beautiful bedrooms await, both with calming, neutral decor and sumptuous linens for a good night’s sleep. A contemporary shower room completes this floor. From the kitchen, steps lead up to the cute cottage garden, which boasts a small lawn and a patio area for al fresco dining. You are welcome to unload luggage outside the cottage, and parking is available in a public car park at the top of the village.

Within the peaceful village of Polruan, you’ll find two cosy pubs, along with a cafe and a local shop. At the top of the village, join the South West Coast Path for endless walking opportunities with jaw-dropping views; the stretch between Polruan and Polperro is particularly scenic. From Polruan’s harbour, you can hop on the passenger ferry to visit Fowey, renowned for its fabulous array of independent eateries, and gorgeous boutiques and galleries. Days out from the property include the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Lanhydrock House (all within 23 miles).

This was our second stay at Kittiwake and we again enjoyed our week. The cottage is clean and very comfortable in a convenient and peaceful location on the hill.

Clean, comfortable and conveniently close to the carpark. We greatly enjoyed our stay. There is no view of the harbour.

The cottage is in a lovely location and is neat and comfortable. It's a good value stay for the area and the kitchen has everything you need. We were surprised that the garden is separate to the house.

What a wonderful cottage. The property was clean and well decorated, comfortable bedding, linens and plenty of towels. The front porch gets plenty of sun as does the garden. We especially loved hopping on the ferry to Fowey but returning to the quiet of Polruan. The walk to Polperro was difficult but breathtaking! Hall walk is wonderful on a hot suRead morenny day as it's quite shaded. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hide
