This cute countryside cottage in North Cornwall welcomes four guests with a canine companion in tow, and is perfect for a quiet break with family or friends. You’ll be close to the Cornwall designated National Landscape with plenty of charming coastal towns and historical attractions to explore.

Inside this single-storey home, you’ll find a neutral-toned open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a contemporary fitted kitchen. Pass through the galley-style kitchen to reach a wooden and white central dining table. Adjacent are two comfortable sofas in the lounge area with a Smart TV. Beyond here are two cosy bedrooms – a king and a bunk bedroom that is perfect for two children. Completing the interior is a family shower room. Outside, you can enjoy the enclosed patio garden with furniture and a BBQ. You’ll also have access to the tennis court, which is shared with neighbouring properties. There is private parking for one car.

While staying in the rural village of Davidstow, explore the surrounding area to find the countryside walking trails, the historical Davidstow Holy Well and a war museum (within 1.5 miles). Pack a picnic and head into the Cornwall National Landscape, which starts 4 miles from the door, for a hike along the South West Coast Path. Amongst the sea cliffs and secluded coves is the quirky fishing port village of Boscastle (6 miles), which is home to a witchcraft museum and bohemian shops. You can also see the mystical Tintagel Castle (7.5 miles). Visit the tumbling St Nectans Waterfall (6.5 miles) and hike through the National Trust’s Bagalow (8 miles).

This is a fantastic little cottage with a secure garden. We received a warm welcome from Carmella and David and were delighted with the welcome gifts we found. This cottage had everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen We had a delightful week often sitting out in the garden listening to the stream and enjoying watching the birds flittingRead more around, we were lucky to see a woodpecker and a kingfisher. Great little property. The welcome gifts of milk, juice, biscuits and dog biscuits were a welcome surprise. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A lovely tranquil place to stay with easy access to the main road along a short lane. Our dog loved watching the squirrels play in the garden. Hosts Carmella and David were very accommodating as we booked at very short notice. We arrived to a warm, clean and cosy cottage with some complimentary extras for us and our dog. Carmella weathered awfuRead morel Storm Chandra to bring us some complimentary milk after our long journey. They were quick to respond and keep us updated in our communications. My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay in this charming, cosy cottage. It was extremely clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Set in peaceful surroundings, it had everything we could wish for. On arrival we were greeted by the owners Carmella and David (who are lovely) and they had very thoughtfully left us a bottle of Bucks Fizz, some delRead moreicious Cornish gingerbread biscuits and milk, which went down very well with a much needed cuppa on arrival! A lovely touch which we both very much appreciated. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone. Hide
