Waking up to uninterrupted, panoramic views of the Tamar Valley will feel like a dream during your stay here. This property provides the perfect romantic escape for two guests – an ideal base for walkers, hikers and cyclists seeking adventure in the Cornish countryside, with walker's paradise Dartmoor close by, or visit Bodmin Moor and the world famous Eden Project. Pet friendly and full of character, the lodge features traditional aesthetics with wooden panelling inside and out, creating the feel of an authentic country retreat. Step out each day to explore the surrounding National Landscape, with Greenscombe Woods and the River Tamar both within 0.5 miles. Centrally located, you can enjoy days out to the rugged north coast where you can visit legendary Tintagel or Rick Stein's in Padstow or the fishing villages and coves along the south coast where you can enjoy beaches and boat trips.

The first thing you’ll notice in this studio-style abode is its cleverly designed layout, created to maximise the incredible views from every angle. The double bed and sofa are positioned opposite French doors, so you can soak up the far-reaching valley vistas from the moment you wake each morning. The lounge, kitchen, dining and sleeping areas are combined into one sociable open-plan living space – yet there's plenty of room to spread out and relax. The compact kitchen is neatly set to one side, with a window offering the same stunning outlook while you prepare breakfast or dinner. The bathroom is located just off the main room. Outside, a gravelled patio area is furnished for al fresco dining, with a BBQ and fire pit making it ideal for cosy evenings under the stars. A private parking space completes the property’s offering.

There’s so much natural beauty to discover nearby – just lace up your walking boots and set off exploring. Visit Gunnislake (2.5 miles), a sleepy village straddling the Devon–Cornwall border with shops, pubs and cafes to browse. The Tamar Trails Centre (3.5 miles) offers endless walking paths and mountain biking routes to enjoy. And for a more restful day, leave the boots behind and head to Cotehele (4.5 miles), a National Trust Tudor house with a working mill and fascinating medieval history.
