Directly overlooking the beautiful beach in the fishing village of Coverack and with glorious sea views, this apartment offers a perfect base for a family or group of friends. Sleeping six guests across two floors, plus one canine, it’s just 20 metres from the beach. Shops, restaurants and pubs are within 300 metres and the scenic South West Coast Path is on your doorstep. Meet the animals at nearby Roskilly’s Farm, just 2 miles away, and treat yourself to its famous ice cream.

Located above a café and reached by a spiral staircase, the apartment is beautifully furnished in contemporary style and has two suntrap balconies. The ground floor houses an inviting king-size bedroom and the living/dining area, with uninterrupted views of the sea. This airy space, flooded with coastal light, offers comfortable sofas and a dining table for six. A balcony door opens from the sleek kitchen and there’s a family bathroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms: a king-size, with sea views, and a twin. Outside, the front balcony offers panoramic views across the beach, while the side balcony looks out across rooftops to the sea. Both have outdoor seating. There is private parking for two cars.

Visit the residents of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (9 miles), home to those recovering from injury. The refuge also houses Puffin Island, where you can see these distinctive birds close up and the Animal Paddock, with pygmy goats, Dartmoor sheep and more. There’s a cafe and shop, and dogs on lead are welcome. Explore the beautiful exotic garden at the National Trust’s Glendurgan (15 miles). The 200-year-old wooded grounds with magnificent sub-tropical plants lead down to the lovely Helford River and house an impressive maze. Further afield, the excellent National Maritime Museum in Falmouth (19 miles) offers fun for all ages.
