This splendid retreat sleeps ten guests and is 2.5 miles from the seaside town of Bude. It’s perfect for families or friends sharing a holiday, and up to three canine companions are also welcome. There’s an indoor games room and the large, enclosed garden offers distant sea views, as well as a gorgeous hot tub. Colourful Bude is famous for its huge expanse of golden sands, beloved by surfers and families alike and the town has a great selection of shops and eateries. Attractions nearby include scenic walks and cycle trails at tranquil Tamar Lakes (4.5 miles).
Roomy, light and airy, the holiday home is comfortable and delightfully furnished in a contemporary style. There are five charming bedrooms and four bathrooms, across two floors, plus a cosy snug. A wood burner adds a cosy touch to the bright and spacious lounge and there’s an impressive kitchen/diner. Both are flooded with light from full-length glass doors opening onto an expansive patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The lovely garden has a large lawn, with masses of space for children and pets to play, along with the hot tub and outdoor shower for sandy feet. There is private parking for three cars.
Novices will find surfing and other water sport schools on Bude’s magnificent sands where they can learn to ride the Atlantic rollers. For calmer waters, ideal for children, head for the popular Sea Pool. You can hire a canoe or kayak for a peaceful journey along the historic Bude Canal or take your dogs for a walk along the towpath. Enjoy family fun and a thorough soaking at the Monster Slip and Slide inflatables and take in magnificent views on a stroll along the South West Coast Path. Further afield, historic Hartland Abbey, set in beautiful gardens, and picture-postcard Clovelly are both within 15 miles.
