Escape to Cornwall with a stay in a romantic rural retreat for two. Bring your furry friends and make the most of the wraparound garden, which enjoys fabulous countryside views and boasts a private hot tub. This very special converted barn is located just outside Helston, in an excellent location for exploring the beaches, walks and restaurants of West Cornwall.

Set within the grounds of the owner’s farmhouse, this charming getaway has masses of space for two people, and you’ll love its striking mix of rugged stone and imposing oak beams. The vaulted lounge is the heart of the home, with large windows that let in plenty of light and a granite fireplace set with a wood burner. Enjoy the views over the garden or switch on the Smart TV and stream your favourite shows. The large kitchen/diner boasts a long dining table with bench seating, an ornamental AGA and an American-style fridge/freezer with masses of space for delicious ingredients. Head upstairs to find the spacious shower room and the super-king-size bedroom, which offers views over the rolling countryside towards the sea. The garden includes a raised lawn, mature trees and shrubs, and a patio terrace with sun loungers, garden furniture and – the piece de resistance – a hot tub. This is the perfect spot to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the panoramic vistas while you soak in the bubbles or dine alfresco. There’s parking for two cars.

The historic market town of Helston, 3 miles away, has a selection of shops and places to eat, and there’s also an excellent restaurant on the Trelowarren Estate, 8.5 miles away, and an array of places to eat in Porthleven, 5 miles away. On the Lizard Peninsula, you’ll find a variety of scenic walks as well as some incredible beaches, including Kynance Cove, 13.5 miles.

Extremely comfortable accommodation. Great views from the house. Wonderful outside space. A superb sitting room in the extension - light, bright and spacious. Our two cocker spaniels thoroughly enjoyed their stay, too!
