Overall the cottage was lovely, it had everything we needed and more, the only problem was that I booked it as it had an enclosed garden but on letting my 2 dogs out we found out that the gate wasn't attached to a fence on either side and my smaller dog got out onto the road, which meant we had to go out with them at all times as they couldn't be oRead moren their own. What a wonderful cottage to relax in. The property has been given so much thought in its renovation and all the little details show this. Loved a book that showed the story of the work done from start to finish. From the extremely clear and plentiful instructions on your stay (nothing left out), all that has been supplied and provided to enhanceRead more your stay (a homemade cake on arrival was delicious), to the use of space and peacefulness of the location - you cannot go wrong here at Quarry Cottage. It is almost in the middle of nowhere - so quiet ensues! But was really pleased that the signal/wifi was strong as so many places off the beaten track are weak or no signal to speak of - which is fine if you want to shut the world out, but when you need to be reachable that can be a tricky one. No worries here. But you are only 10/15 mins drive from some lovely villages or St Mawes Harbour, which was a great find. Highly recommend the St Mawes Seafood Bar, immense crab sandwiches and mackerel pate!!! We used this as a base and visited north, east and west and enjoyed returning to the cottage every day. Our stay, with our labrador was wonderful, he even had supplies provided. Will dream about the glorious bath and the fabulous shower for a long time! Can highly recommend and will be back again in the future. Hide

The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped, and there were lots of thoughtful touches. We especially loved the delicious lemon drizzle cake that was waiting for us when we arrived!

This was an extremely comfortable and well-equipped cottage, and I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very quiet and rural - no sounds except the singing of birds and the occasional lowing of a cow. Easy to get to local attractions too, and the recommendations given by the owner were most helpful. Altogether highly recommended!
