  • Tastefully renovated holiday home with beautifully designed interiors
  • Enclosed private garden, with wild flower meadow, backing onto farmland – ideal for outdoor relaxation and children’s games
  • Excellent coastal location near the spectacular Cape Cornwall
Property code: OC-T30454

This beautifully converted former agricultural building is surrounded by exhilarating walks in the Cornish countryside and along scenic coastal routes. The ideal place to return to after a day in the fresh air, it has space for six guests in three bedrooms and a garden where children can play while you toast marshmallows over the fire pit. Perfect for families or friends looking to really get away from it all.

Spend time with loved ones in the open-plan living space of this single-storey stone cottage. Here you’ll find a bright kitchen/diner with an American-style fridge/freezer and a dining table with rural views through the patio doors. When you’re ready to relax, head over to the lounge area and choose one of the comfortable seats and choose a movie to watch on the Smart TV. Three beautiful bedrooms employ pale walls and timber flooring for a feeling of tranquillity. One of the king-size rooms has a spacious en-suite shower room, while the others – one king-size and one twin – share a sleek family bathroom. Children can run around the large lawn while you dine on the patio, and the property boasts private parking for up to four cars.

Set on a headland that’s part of the Tin Coast and Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, this fabulous getaway is only 0.5 miles from the town of St Just, where there are numerous friendly cafes and pubs. From Cape Cornwall, 1 mile, there are incredible views and rugged walks along the coastal path, and for an outing to the beach try rugged, rocky Priest’s Cove (which has a shallow tidal pool) or Cot Valley, both within 1.5 miles. The open-air Minack Theatre is 8.5 miles away, while for some retail therapy popular St Ives and bustling Penzance are 13.5 miles and 8.5 miles away respectively.

There is also a dedicated EV Charger at the property, this can take the worries out of daily adventuring.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Byre and already hope to return next year. Thank you so much for having us! We stayed here with the whole family, grandparents, parents, and three young children aged 1, 3, and 5, and it was perfect for all of us. The large enclosed garden was fantastic for the kids to play safely, and they especially loved seRead moreeing the horses, donkeys, and rabbits next door. There are also plenty of beautiful public walking paths nearby, which made it easy to head out on little family adventures together. We made wonderful memories here and would definitely love to come back again! Hide

The Byre met all our needs & more. We walked the dog to St Just each morning & back for breakfast at the Byre before setting off for the day. On our last day we managed to eat at Cafe Dog & Rabbit in St Just - very popular & always busy - food in our opinion was amazing. We also ate at the Commercial in St Just on a couple of occasions duringRead more the week - not so popular, but the Crab Salad was very good in our opinion. Hide

The Byre is in a lovely location, easy to walk into St Just for nice shops and coffee and cake and easily accessible to lovely walks to Cape Cornwall and Cot Valley. Cottage is nicely decorated and had all the equipment you would need. Only negative is the garden is not secure, a gate in the garden had a big gap at the bottom which small dogs canRead more get under, and also there is no gate at side of cottage meaning they can get into the area at the front where you park. A shame as meant we couldn't leave our dog to just go in and out on his own. Fine if you don't have a small dog! Hide
