Nestled on the fringes of the Roseland Heritage Coast in Cornwall, this delightful cottage, that was once a Blacksmiths, combines with an appealing shepherd’s hut to offer a characterful base for four people planning seaside adventures and rural rambles. Kick off your holiday by uncovering the local area, with many gorgeous options just a 15 minute walk away right from the front door. Head off on a visit to the National Trust’s Trelissick Garden (0.5 miles), where seemingly endless gardens and woodland walks await, as well as a hidden beach. For more beachy options nearby, the sand and shingle of Loe Beach (10 minutes on foot), Porthcurnick Beach and Portscatho Beach are all within 6.5 miles. For nearby towns and villages with plenty of Cornish charm, head to Mylor Churchtown, Penryn and St Mawes, where you can catch the ferry over to bustling Falmouth (all within 6 miles). For days full of local history, shopping and eating out, head to Cornwall’s capital, the cathedral city of Truro (4.5 miles).

Before stepping into this delightful cottage, take a moment to appreciate your Cornish surroundings of rolling countryside and overhanging trees, setting the perfect scene for a quiet getaway. Enter the property and find that the rural Cornish charm continues in the form of exposed wooden beams and whitewashed stone walls that combine with modern, homely comforts. Be greeted by the social heart of the home, the cosy lounge, where a crackling wood burner blends with a Smart TV and soft furnishings to offer the perfect space for relaxation after days of coastal adventure. When stomachs rumble, amble through to the kitchen/diner, where you’ll find all that’s needed to cook up a Cornish feast for your loved ones, who can gather at the spacious dining table in here to enjoy the chef’s work. At the end of each day, retire to the inviting double bedroom and start the next day with a hot shower in the large walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom. Beyond the cottage, in the pretty garden, awaits a unique shepherd’s hut with space for two extra guests. This charming space mimics the welcoming decor of the cottage, combining a compact but well-appointed kitchen space with a roaring wood burner and a restful double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

Outside, both the cottage and the shepherd’s hut share an enclosed garden with a furnished patio area for al fresco morning brews and evening meals, plus a lawned space for any little ones and dogs to play freely. The jewel in the garden’s crown is no doubt the private spa, where a sauna, barrel hot/cold shower and plunge pool offer the perfect ingredients for total relaxation. Private parking for four cars is also available, as well as an electric car charging point.
