For a gloriously indulgent Cornish trip, stay in this two-bedroom apartment, part of a Regency-style stately home that was once home to the Sheriff of Cornwall. It’s set in 6 acres of picturesque parkland in Camborne, Cornwall. This property, dating back to the 18th century, is bookable as an entire house or as separate self-contained units – wonderful for holidays, weddings and special events. One of five apartments, this dwelling combines historic charm and elegant interiors – a dream spot for Jane Austen or Poldark fans. Wander the grounds or take a short stroll into Camborne, a charming town with a rich tin mining history and lots of handy shops and cafés. Locally, head up to Basset Monument (3 miles) for breathtaking panoramic views, or explore the 9 miles of pathways at Tehidy Country Park (2.5 miles), with its serene woodland, landscaped lake and stunning coastal scenery at North Cliffs. The beach is also just 6 miles away at Hayle, part of St Ives Bay where you can enjoy three miles of golden sand leading to the dramatic Godrevy Lighthouse with it's secluded seal viewing cove. These beaches were voted the UK's best by The Times in 2024.

On arrival, pass through the grand lobby to the apartments with its marble floor and sweeping staircase – look out for gorgeous details throughout, like ornate candlesticks and quirky artefacts. As you enter your first-floor apartment, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the floor-to-ceiling sash windows that open out onto a lovely terrace. Relax in the comfy seating area, where three inviting velvet sofas face each other. A Smart TV sets you up for cosy evenings in. Heading through to the dining area, you'll find a kitchen with a granite worktop and a stylish table and chairs, ready for meals. The enormous king-size bedroom, just off the living space, has a lovely chaise longue and huge sash window, along with a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Beyond the kitchen, a second stunning king-size room awaits, filled with light and boasting a dressing area with a wardrobe and dressing table, plus a gorgeous low French bed and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Outside, the gorgeous terrace is perfect for sipping evening drinks – why not rustle up some fancy cocktails fit for the setting? The house is set in 6 acres of lush parkland that you can explore at your leisure for a pre-breakfast or a post dinner walk. There are various fabulous trees and plants blooming throughout the warmer months to give an enchanted and relaxing atmosphere, cocooned within the estate grounds. Allocated parking is available for two cars in the main gravel car park to the side of the house.
