For a great holiday with family or friends, stay at this three-bedroom apartment within a stunning Grade II-listed property in Camborne, Cornwall. It’s one of five dwellings available to rent out if you’re in a larger group, and a fabulous venue for weddings and special events. The house dates back to the early 18th century and was once the residence of a former sheriff of Cornwall – perfect for history lovers and fans of interiors featured in Jane Austen novels or TV shows like Poldark. Camborne itself is a welcoming Cornish town with a rich tin-mining history and plenty of shops, pubs and cafés within 0.5 miles. Take the dogs for walks in Tehidy Country Park (2.5 miles), whose bluebell woods are glorious in the spring, or join the South West Path (3 miles) for coastal adventures. Beach lovers will be keen to check out Mexico Towans Beach at Hayle (6 miles), part of St Ives Bay and voted the UK's best beach 2024 by The Times. Enjoy a spot of seal-watching over near Godrevy Lighthouse. If you’re up for a day trip, St Ives (13 miles) is ideal, with its world-class galleries, independent shops and delightful cafés and restaurants.

Everything about this property is impressive, from the huge sash windows with shutters to the sweeping archways and antique chairs. On arrival, you’ll enter the elegant drawing room with a charming double bedroom to your right. This delightful space has dual-aspect windows letting plenty of natural light in. On the left, a practical utility room leads to a bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC. Back through the drawing room, you’ll find the cosy music room, perfect for relaxing with sweeping views of the garden. This room connects to a shower room with WC. From here, enter the truly magnificent orangery, a stunning, character-filled space with a curved outside wall, a large dining table and views of the garden. This leads to an industrial-style kitchen for whipping up tasty meals, plus another shower room with WC. A spiral staircase takes you upstairs to a single bedroom, and up a few more stairs there’s a four-poster double bedroom. Carry on up the stairs to reach a viewing gallery offering 360-degree views of the grounds and the town.

The house is set in 6 acres of lush parkland that you can explore at your leisure for a pre-breakfast or a post dinner walk. There are various fabulous trees and plants blooming throughout the warmer months to give an enchanted and relaxing atmosphere, cocooned within the estate grounds. There is allocated parking in the main gravel car park to the side of the house for two cars.
