Wake up to the sound of waves lapping against the harbour wall just a few metres from this delightful seaside getaway. Sleeping six guests (4 adults and 2 children up to 12yrs), the former fisherman’s cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends, with your canine chum also welcome. Picture-postcard Mousehole has two small, sandy beaches at low tide, traditional pubs serving food, and a deli offering local produce. Jump aboard a wildlife safari and coastal cruises from the harbour or follow the scenic South West Coast Path for 2 miles to pretty Lamorna Cove. Enjoy a luxurious swim in the geothermally heated Jubilee Pool on Penzance promenade (3 miles) and feel the sand between your toes on beautiful beaches, all within 10 miles, at Marazion, St Ives and Porthcurno, home of the famous clifftop Minack Theatre. Walk across the causeway to fairy-tale St Michael’s Mount at Marazion (9 miles) or take the short boat ride at high tide.
The cottage directly overlooks the harbour with coastal light that streams through the original sash windows, while the simple interior and character enhance the property’s period charm. From the harbourside, enter into a hallway and through to the bright open-plan lounge/diner. You’ll find comfortable seating, where you can snuggle up before the cosy wood burner to admire the view or watch the Smart TV. Or opt for the window seat and watch the colourful fishing boats heading out to sea. Vintage chairs sit around a table in the spacious dining area, and the neat galley kitchen is well supplied to meet your culinary needs. A back door gives access to the rear. Stairs from the hallway lead to the first floor with a family bathroom and three lovely bedrooms. The pretty king-size and double rooms both have magnificent views across to Mounts Bay and beyond, while bedroom three has bunk beds sleeping two (suitable for children up to 12 years of age).
To the front is the suntrap communal front terrace with designated seating area, complete with outdoor furniture and is perfect for al fresco dining as you drink in the uninterrupted vista of sea and sky. Please be aware of the drop from the harbour wall. Parking is available in public car parks nearby.
